No kidding!  I mean, that's like comparing using 3.5" floppies
to using hard disk drives.

A direct DMA SCSI connection is MUCH faster.  Even with
DMA turned off, an SCSI connection is MUCH faster.  It
is so much faster that it isn't funny.
