Newbie alert! Help wanted or point me in the right direction for information/software please.
I've jsut picked up a Apple 2GS system (incomplete)
consisting of monitor, main unit and two floppy drives. One
of the floppy drives is not an Apple but looks like its made
by a third party (very plain case and drive).
I got no keyboard, mouse, software or cables of any kind
except the disk drive cables as the drives were connected to
the main unit.
The GS unit contains a large memory card fully populated, a
SCSI card :) , floppy controller and what looks like some
sort of extra processor card as it contains a Z80H.
Presumably a CPM card (a fast one). Anyway heres my
questions ( or just point me to a location where I can find
the info)?
Can I download the necessary software and drivers to get the
system going from the internet and create the system disks
on my PC? If so what software do I need for the PC etc.
Can I use a standard Macintosh keyboard with the Apple 2 GS
(the ports look the same, and possibly mouse?
Is the monitor connector the same pinouts as the Mac
connector? I presume the 2GS gives out a low TV type refresh
signal so I'd need a multiync.
Where can I download drivers for my SCSI hardware like EZ135
CDROM and Floptical?
