This isn't what is normally meant by pairing oscillators. A "generator"
is a pair of oscillators set to a mode in which each oscillator takes
turns at playing through a waveform, automatically starting its partner
when it completes (allowing the inactive oscillator and/or audio data to
be updated while the sound continues).

I was talking more of a situation where two oscillators are running
simultaneously, playing through the same waveform but accessing every
second audio sample (odd samples through one oscillator, even through
the other). The oscillators would probably have to be 16 apart for this
to work properly (so the samples were evenly spaced), assuming all 32
are enabled. (A generator is two adjacent oscillators, e.g. 0 and 1.)
