ProDOS is the wrong OS for the Apple IIGS. ProDOS is an
8-bit OS and the IIGS has a 16-bit OS.
For the Apple IIGS, you want System 6.0.1 of GS/OS, the
16-bit OS. This includes a Finder and GUI and toolbox
like Macintosh.
Apple still has System 6.0.1 for the GS on two of their ftp
sites. You could also get it preinstalled on a hard drive
(the Focus hard drive) for $59 from http://www.allelec.com/
Alltech Electronics. That price is for the hard drive PLUS
controller PLUS system software PLUS freeware and
shareware.
