On the two platinum IIe I have there is a spot labelled test that if you
removed the solder you might install a 6 pin socket. It has two holes
about a quarter inch from each end. You might be able to run some
wires through the holes to hook up all the pins on a 16 or 20 pin socket
to something or other.
