This is getting off topic for comp.sys.apple2 (probably better
to move it to comp.emulators.apple2 if this thread continues) but
more on topic than the "Dead Mac" diagnosis thread. ;-)

It usually works best with all the instrument files merged into
one big file. Actually that is how most Soundsmith songs came on the
IIgs, you'd have the song name with the waveform using the same name
but with an extension (e.g. "Intro" and "Intro.W"). I can't remember
if it if could load ASIFF instruments as separate files, though even
if it could, many wouldn't fit as legal DOS names (i.e. "Ring.Piano").
(It's a little odd, working as a hybrid DOS/Win32 program). :)

You could use a real IIgs to merge all the instrument files into
one large waveform file (or use a IIgs emulator like Bernie or XGS).

You mean Glide. :) (and I'm not sure, since I only have the
Glide2x DLL myself and looking for version 3x). In any case, if
you do not own a 3Dfx Voodoo graphics accelerator card (such as
the Monster 3D, Pure 3D, etc--those cards that make your PC do
things better than a Playstation :) then don't bother with that
version.

There should be a plain Win32 version on the page that does
not use a fancy graphical player (I think its v2.10). That is
what I'm using at the moment and it works fine, though I'll be
a lot happier if/when it becomes a plug-in for WinAmp. :)
