Fortunately, this isn't a macintosh question. The HP DeskJet 500 series is the
ideal printer for an Apple IIe, IIc, or IIGS, especially if the user uses
AppleWorks 4 or 5 (AppleWorks 3 drivers identical to the AW5 drivers are
available also - exclusively from TEXAS II). Drivers also exist for other Apple
II programs. Anyone who sees a 500 or other DeskJet which has the serial
interface (in addition to the parallel) should grab it. You could also add a
parallel card to speed up the printing, but it isn't 100% necessary.
