[HELP]: SCSI Chain Problems...
I seem to be running across some problems with my scsi chain on my IIgs.
I have an apple HS SCSI card with an oem ibm drive in an external case
(it was originally the case for a 20 meg mac external drive), and an
applecd 150 on the end with an external terminator.
The applecd has an scsi id of 5, and the hard drive 0. If I try and
boot from the scsi card with the cdrom drive turned on, I get
an 'scsi boot error'. If I turn the cdrom drive off and try again, it
boots up just fine.
If I boot the system from my focus drive, with both the scsi hard drive and
the cdrom drive on, they work perfectly soon as the system comes up.
To sumarrize, when booting from the scsi card, the cdrom drive has to be
turned off. When booting from the focus drive, both devices can be on and
work fine.
Can anyone clue me in as to what the problem is?
Thanks,
Karl Asha
