My topper was 28 calls one day. 20 wasn't an exception. But the average
was around 10 per day. Even had days that the phoneline was busy for
over 6 hours per day. The system was very popular among youngsters, but
the Apple II folks never really used all the possibilities, except for
one: Pim Blokland (Pim, are you around?).
There was a working Fruity Dog version for METAL/FV, but it wasn't
compatible with the latest FV version. I have been trying to contact/
track down George Fodi (the author of the METAL/FV version), but I had
no luck-- in two or three years I never heard from him :-(
Now that I know that running a Prodos 8 based BBS via Bernie ][ the
Resque is impossible, a Telefinder BBS-idea has entered my mind. It will
be accessible via internet, like I planned for Dark Castle BBS too.
