Adapting Mac db-19 HDs for IIc

I've posted similar memos in the past... cannot recall the details of the
replies.

One of the early Macintosh hard drives (20 megs) received input and output
through the db-19 disk drive port. These hard drives are offered cheaply
on the mac networks. I think they were used by the Mac Plus or Mac 512.

Could creative firmware hackers adapt these HDs so that they could be used
by the IIc or IIc Plus? You could make a _fortune_ if the swap of an
EPROM chip would make the IIc compatible with those 20 meggers! This
would breathe new life into the IIc, and would also save the Mac HDs from
the landfill!
