First thing you need is software. http://www.intrec.com/
Intrec has the ProTERM 3.1 software for the Apple II.
Second step: unplug the modem cable, with the modem
still attached, from your Mac. Plug that same cable, with
the modem attached, to your IIGS.
Start up ProTERM 3.1. Set up your driver. Copy your
INIT string from your Mac. Set port speed to 38400 or
56k. Dial! That's it.

http://www.allelec.com/ Alltech Electronics has one
for fifty nine US dollars. They'll ship overseas.
It is a combination hard drive and controller card
that sits inside the IIGS, so the drive is out of sight!
Comes with the latest system software and freeware
and shareware too. It is called the Focus hard drive
card.
Alltech also sells a IIGS memory card that takes
30 pin 1MB SIMMs. Those SIMMs are cheap now,
so it is not hard to up the IIGS memory. The card
takes up to 8MB. 4MB is very comfortable for most
IIGS software. The memory card is called the Sirius.
