This Applesoft BASIC program reads your computer's built-in
clock and displays the current time in large numbers using
the rarely-used (but cool) double lo-res mode.
 
It offers your choice of 16 colors for the background and
numerals, as well as a choice between digital-type or "normal",
which is a conversion of Arial Bold.  This may be the only
chance you get to witness a TrueType font converted for
display on the double lo-res screen!
 
- Requirements -
 
IIGS.  Should also work on a 128K //e or //c with clock
capability, I'd be interested in finding out.
 
Does not work with a Laser 128 EX/2 (tried it!) because
it does not support access to double lo-res from its
built-in BASIC.
 
Does not work too well with Bernie 1.3 since he does not
support double lo-res. It runs, but the colors are wacky.
Maybe a future version.

This program uses a VAR file using the ProDOS STORE/RESTORE
function...so the PREFIX needs to be set to the directory
that contains the program.
 
Once it is running -- these keys work:
 
A - About this program
S - Clock Settings
Q - Quit to ProDOS (Bye!)
ESC - Quit to BASIC
 
- Why -
 
Because it was fun.  Plug your GS into your TV and run this
program on New Year's Eve.  Have a spare GS and greenscreen?
Now you have a cool jumbo clock.  I've been using it as a
screen saver so much it's burnt-in to my screen ;)
