If you only have a web based account, then I think you're out of luck.
I haven't heard anything about a method to download all the new
messages automatically.

The only thing I can think that you could cut down on the time it
takes to read the messages is to download all the new messages
manually. To do this, when you get to the forum web page, just point
at each thread link in order but don't click it. Right-click (or
shift-click I think is used on Mac's) and choose the "Save Link As..."
menu item ("Save Target As..." in Internet Explorer) to save each
thread as an HTML file on your local machine. Do this for every new
thread. Then you can log off the internet and load each of the saved
threads back into Netscape and read them off-line.

If you want to reply to a message, you can click the reply link at the
bottom of the message but keep in mind that this will reconnect you to
the internet to get to the message reply page on Delphi.

Another thing to keep in mind is how you've set up message reading on
the pages. I think it defaults to only showing a maximum of 20
messages in each thread and this is the highest number you can set.
This means that if there is more messages in a thread than gets
displayed , you'll either have to make sure you have changed that
maximum number of messages (use the My Delphi link then use the
Message Board Preferences link and set the Maximum messages per page)
or click the link and doing the "Save Link As..." trick above on the
"[More Messages]" link at the bottom of the page and continue doing
that until you have saved all the new messages. It would probably be
easiest just to make sure you read the messages as often as possible
so that a thread will never exceed 20 messages.

If you have a telnet account, things are much simpler in that you can
use one of three Apple II communications programs and an offline
reader for it. The programs and readers are:

ANSITerm OLRight! (can't remember the latest version)
ProTERM FFNSS (still in alpha or beta testing)
Spectrum Crock O'Gold v2.5 (should be updated to v3.0 soon)

Or, if you have a Mac and ProTERM Mac, you can use ProTERM Mac
Messenger (PTMM). I'm not sure about any other OLR readers for the
Mac or other platforms but I'm sure they exist.

I hope this is helpful to you and anyone else who has been wondering
about this sort of thing.
