Re: Who can I send my Apple II card to for Repair?



I covered up two pins on the OKS board with Tape ("I am guessing GND and +5v.  They
are the pins CLOSEST to the REAR of the computer)

I turn on the computer.......everything works OK  (of course the Card does not
function, but the computer now BOOTS  (No more PS.  BUzzzzzzzzz)

It appears that the GND and +5v are shorted.......**Directly**.  From (??+5v??)
power gets onto the card.  I follow the trace.  Through one component  (capacitor?
Resistor?).........Out the other side to (??GND??)

I am very confused.  The person who sold me the card told me "I turned on my
computer with the card installed.  It booted the system no problem"

Nobody repairs Apple II hardware these days?  Is there some sort of "electronics
repair" store or Service that may repair the board for me?

I haven't given up.  I'll keep removing components till I find the culprit.
