Add my vote to this statement.  Lay off Joe.

There is also a clear distinction between the way Nathan acted and
good people like Joe and Bev.  I don't know why people group
all developers with Nathan.

Joe never acted anything like Nathan to the newbie asking an
innocent question.  Leave him alone.
