It sounds like the cached interface which they developed for use with a
very popular hard drive package for Apple II+/IIe. I can't remember the
name of the company which put the hard drive package together, but I seem
to recall that it was based on an Xebec SASI controller. I wouldn't bet
the farm on this, though. The package was available with 10 and 20 meg
drives, and came with its own interface to the Apple bus. The Ohio Kache
Systems (OKS) interface, with its caching, gave improved performance
compared to the interface included with the hard drive. I have no idea
whether OKS is still in business.
