Let me tell you a story.  Once upon a time, an innovative company
called Ohio Kache Systems perfected disk caching for the Apple II.
Using the Kache card, 5.25" and 3.5" disks drives are speeded up
to RAM disk speeds by caching of the entire disk into memory and
writing to disk in the background.

Then hard drives became popular on the Apple II.  So OKS came
out with the Xebec SCSI cache card, an updated version of the
Kache card.  Sadly, OKS had some hard times and went out of
business.

But the technology survived.

A company called CV Tech got the rights to the caching system
and released an updated card by the name of RamFAST.

When CV Tech got out of business, the card continued to be
manufactured by Sequential Systems.  It is still being made by
this last company ...
