I have the IIc ROM-chip UPGRADE for $4 including postage.  This upgrade 
ch9ip gives unidisk 3.5 capability, and, more importantly, it includes the
CHECKERBOARD SELF-TEST.

The self-test will identify any bad RAM memory chips you have.  These are 
replaceable.   I can replace the bad RAM chips --- just $2.00 per chip.  I
will install a 16-pin socket so that if there is a later bad ram, you
just pop it out of the socket.

You could remove the motherboard, and sandwich it between two pieces of
cardboard, and mail it to me.  Just send $10 + $4 for return shipping and
I will SWAP THE IIC MOTHERBOARD for an enhanced motherboard that works!
