ResEdit hac for NiftySpell

Any Resedit pros out there?
 
If you understand the following, please let me know if this may be
possible.
 
Can the SDEF resource of a Mac file, specifically ID # 25008 be modified?
 
More precisely, can the text in the file be extracted?
 
Why, you ask?
 
 
We would like to add a Spanish dictionary as a user dictionary to
NiftySpell. We have a Spanish spell-check file from mac programs,
but the resouces there are not txt. If the base word list that is found
in the file (SDEF # 25008) could be extracted in useable form, we could
have a Spanish spell checker for the GSs' in our class.
 
This would be almost as great as NiftySpell itself!
