I don't keep track :) but one could always take the System fixes that
GUPP creates as a few of them.

That's my guess too.  But hey, it's Apple, who usually has bigger fish
to fry (and somehow always gets their own ass in the pan) than to worry
about what the users -- especially of their discontinued products --
want or do.  Antoine, when the time comes make an announcement that it
is coming forth, wait a month, and if nothing surfaces than procede.

Okay, there's another roadmap of what a new System should rewrite.

 EC(| I'd say the way to go is to take suggestions on things to add to
    | the system and see what is worth doing. I'd also suggest trying
    | to recruit other programmers to do various parts of the system.

And that's a good use of manpower too.  Also a test of some of the
people who often complain about a bug to see if they're willing to be
part of the solution instead of part of the problem.
