Thanks for the info.  As you can see, I've been basing my suppositions
on the RamFAST manual as I no longer own the actual card.

But just looking at the manual, the RamFAST looks like a landmine of
compatibility problems.  Problems with software such as Twilight and
Mr. Apple.  Problems with hardware like RamKeeper and TWGS.
Problems with some Zip GS cards even.

This is the SCSI card I have and it definitely works with 2A, so it is
NOT a DMA problem per se.  Rather, it is a compatibility problem
SPECIFICALLY with the RamFAST.

Actually, if it were not for the speed, the Apple HS SCSI card
is so much better and logical than the RamFAST that it is not funny.
