Quite a bit faster, actually.

MSDOS FST is not enough.  The FST was not designed to read the
FAT table in something as large as a Zip or hard drive.  ;-(

You need MUG!, a shareware NDA that can be found on the ground
ftp server.  When you stick an MS-DOS Zip disk into the Zip drive
on a IIGS, it does not appear in Finder.  However, when you open
the MUG! Desk Accessory, you can access the disk and copy
files to your hard drive at will.  You can also copy files from your
hard disk to the MS-DOS Zip disk.  You can even format the Zip disk
for MS-DOS.  ;-)

Think of it as PC Exchange for the Apple IIGS.
