-= MAC-PC interlink =-

I've been trying connecting my MAC and PC recently, and it didn't
work.... I connected mac's modem port to PC's serial port with cable and
I ran FreeTerm on mac as a file transfering program, and i ran
HyperTerminal on PC.....
settings I have for mac:

[x] Xon/Xoff                [ ] LP/CR check
[ ] MacBinary transfer  [ ] .......

and pc's

[x] Xon/Xoff

TTY type thing...


So, i pressed Receive file on MAC and SEND FILE on pc .... and guess
what ?   TIMEOUT........i specified all setting right (i think) ....

Please tell me am I using right programs for that ?  And tell me what
kinda setting should be while performing such thing
