Marlin, it is a DMA problem. The Orange Micro RAM card is not DMA
compatible. The Apple High Speed SCSI Card (Sandwich II) uses DMA.
Happily, you can turn off DMA on the SCSI card. Look for the DIP
switch on the SCSI card. Switch 1 controls DMA. It is normally in
the CLOSED position, which turns on DMA. To turn off DMA, move
the switch to the OPEN position.
By the way, switches 2 through 4 control the SCSI card's SCSI ID.
Make sure the hard drive and the SCSI card don't have the same
SCSI ID.
