Re: new Brutal Deluxe game

We all have the right to express our personal views on matters posted to this
newsgroup, without having them canceled. So, I'm taking that option to express
mine now.

Max Jones posted the following to this newgroup to which I'd like to add the
following responses noted with ***:

"Rubywand pontificated:"

*** Pontificated? No Max, not the way I read it. He simply stated his view on
the matters. And, I'm fairly inclined to agree with them! I saw no element of
pontification in his post you refer to. I
did see a lot of factual truth in his statement though. IMHO, you tend to
over-react to anything posted on this newsgroup by anybody that does not meet
your exact personal specs, in all matters related to you, the general A2
community or Delphi.

(per Rubywand:)
> Possibly, there would have been more friendly messages on the forum
>or some other Delphi, Lycos, etc. Apple II forum. That sort of thing is
>what message bases are for. Unfortunately, any negative analysis would,
>very likely, be deleted by the A2-Delphi Happiness Patrol.

(per Max:)
Any negative analysis would, very UNlikely, be deleted by the A2-Delphi
Happiness Patrol. (Hey, I kinda like that label, though!) The only time any
messages have been deleted have been when certain members of the Anti-Delphi
Patrol have snuck in, under cover of alias, and intentionally cast flame
bait in hopes of stirring up a war of words.

*** You know I'm a Delphi member, I visit Delphi almost every day
and the only 'as you call it Max' "intentionally cast flame
bait in hopes of stirring up a war of words" have been posted by
established paying members of the Delphi A2 forum such as; Richard Bennett,
Sheppy, Tony Diaz, yourself and two or three others their who post public
replies for all to read, that make people like me feel unwelcome, intemidated
and uneasy with even
posting a simple and polite announcement about a perfectly legal project I'm
working on for the needs and desires of the A2 community. I made one such
message post a week or so back (during my entire one-plus Delphi membership -
*non-paying membership, I might add*) and promptly received a string of abusive
and hostile replies, that in so many words told me to shut up, don't post such
garbage, leave Delphi, go back to CSA2, WE DON'T WANT YOU HERE, etc. along with
the inclusion of several completely false nd/or inaccurate statements
concerning my past efforts for the needs of the A2 community.

The only reason I have now for even going on Delphi to visit the A2 forum is to
read the messageboard and review it for any new and interesting information or
facts that I might care to know about or pass along to others so interested.

I've found less than a dozen over the past few months with these review visits
there, that had any value at all for my personal or public information review
needs. Most of the re-hashed chatter
I've read there can be found here on this newsgroup in a much more orderly,
friendly and informative manner.

Non-the-less, I continue to visit the A2 Forum on Delphi, as often
as possible (in lurk-mode only, I assure you) to see if there might be anything
of personal or public interest to pass on to others, so interested. Perhaps,
I'll luck out sometime and actually find something there worth mentioning or
retaining from these visits and reviews.

(Max continues with this comment:)
"One exception in the Anti-Delphi-A2 Patrol is Dr. Tom. When he recently
entered Delphi in search of a flame war, he at least had the guts to not
hide behind an alias. Congrats, Tom. At least when you come to Delphi to
crap on the floor in hopes of drawing flies, you don't try to hide your
identity.

*** Max let me say this about that...I've never used an alias with anything I
post anywhere, especially on the A2 Forum of Delphi.
my member name is cturley on Delphi and I'm listed as Charles Turley (and as I
see it -> the prawn in the pool of paranas). I've never "crap on the floor in
hopes of drawing flies" with the single posted message and my reply, I made to
the Delphi A2 forum messageboard. If you or any others read it as such, then
IMHO, you are all in serious need of mental counciling as you can't perceive
clear reality properly. Please clarify your comment of: "crap on the floor in
hopes of drawing flies".

Again I'll point out the single post I made as an informative announcement to
the A2 Forum of Delphi was posted - with all thread comments to it - on this
newsgroup shortly after those hostile threads were made there. Nobody that
read my post about it all - made any comments concerning that 'word for word
series' of thread replies with my original posted content, to the effect that I
might have been again as you called it: "crap on the floor in hopes of drawing
flies". All the readers of CSA2 that replied on it called it exactly as most
sane and comprehensive people readers
did would. Max, you should go back and read my post and the replies to it.
Then if you still see it as an attempt from me at:
"crap on the floor in hopes of drawing flies", then you have some serious
comprehensive problems that deserve your prompt attention. Again, IMHO, you
must be living in 'DREAMLAND' if you really see my single post and the treads
to it as you expressed in your post comments.

(Max again makes this statement:)
"Any honest analysis of the way business is done in Delphi-A2 will reveal
that Rubywand's whining about censorship is without merit."

*** Max, according to my information about it all - as presented word for word
to this newgroup, with my own experience and many visits to Delphi-A2 - as well
as dozens of others in the A2 community that I have a healthy and friendly
relation with, none of us are able to perceive Rubywand's posted comments as
'whining' - we see them as factual points of reality, outlining blatant
censorship, hostile responses and elitist action taken without any logic or
merit to warrent such, from the A2-Deplhi
forum overseers, staff and a select number of pesimistic A2 programmers,
newsletter publishers and paying members of the A2-Delphi area.

I've personally received many emails from well established and well respected
A2 guru's telling me they've had it with the A2-Delphi forum and didn't intend
to return.

Perhaps, it's time for somebody to establish an alternative Apple II user forum
on Delphi that gives all members of such a forum
equal rights, with all matters presented in an opened, friendly and uncensored
environment.

Sincerely,
Tom
