Hmm, common sense tells me that there are fewer controllers out there than
drives because not every drive sold went with a box which needed a card. Since
a //c can use 'em without a card, only the //e crowd bought cards.

Well ya gotta do what ya gotta do. I have my one owner '86 vintage drive which
cost $400, plus one I got secondhand way back for $90. Only one card though,
and I had to hunt for a dealer with one of those in stock when I got the
drive new.
