Bernie question

Suppose I have a Mac connected to internet via the ethernetcard (the
cable company offers a permanent internet connection is cooperation with
the university).

Suppose my Mac runs Bernie with e.g. Proterm loaded.

-> Is it possible to address the GS from internet via
   via whatever way?
I'd like to convert my GS to a Bernie GS and be
able to answer incoming calls with a program like
   Proterm.

-> The thought behind this, is that I'd love to bring
my METAL/ FutureVision BBS back online. It needs
a ringing signal on the modem/ printer port to
   answer and go online.

Mr. Brad from Lost-Gonzo BBS (telnet to lost-gonzo.com) has done this
via a Wintelsystem with several Apple II's connected to the serial
ports. I don't have a Wintel machine, nor the deskspace to put my IIgs
on.

Can the authors or others shine a light on this topic?
