NT? you don't like your system, do you?

the problem isn't that it CAN'T (as in technically impossible), but
that it doesn't have the INTERFACE to do it. if there was a connector
that we could wire to Ethernet, i'm sure that it would have been tried
and that there would be a driver out by now....

what program are you planning to use?

ummmm... maybe i missed something, but doesn't Caldera DOS do TASK
SWITCHING, not MULTITASKING? as i understood it (about a year ago,
when i played with it), anything that is running in the background is
effectively put on hold until the next time you switch to it... it's
great, if you're looking at running a database program and spreadsheet
at the same time... doesn't work too well if you're looking to
download a file and play solitare at the same time... 8(

heh. i hate to break your heart, but not everyone that has a GS
"lives in the past"... i, for one, happen to be of the mind that
there are things that shouldn't be wasted. i can turn my GS on and
expect it to work as well NOW as it did in 1990 when i bought it.
since it STILL works, it's got potential for use, even if the tasks i
assign it are menial and/or relatively minor. i live in the
here-and-now, thank you, and i'm sure that there are others here that
share that sentiment.

FWIW, i have my GS connected to my Linux box on a regular basis, via
serial line.... :)
