When I first obtained a Liron card I tried the 5.25 UniDisk and the DuoDisk
with no success.I even tried chaining them in various ways to a 3.5 unidisk.
The onely cards I know for sure that'll run 5.25 & 3.5 disk drives are UDC
cards. I tried that for a while but it became a pain having to remember
different slot setups in different machines. I seem to recall some software
balked at 2 different drives in the same slot.
Slot 5 is usually the preferred slot but before I had a hard drive I
prefferred slot 7 personally. What I liked was that if there's no disk in the
3.5 unidisk it would boot off the next slot down which was 6. Almost like a
smartport.
