Oh so that's how that works.  I have an Apple 5.25" drive on my //e, along
with an AE drive.  I picked up the Apple 5.25" drive in the original box,
still in the plastic  for $4!!   I don't think I got any of the paperwork
for it, However.  I don't think it had ever been used, Though.  The little
runner feet on the bottom weren't scuffed at all!!
