why? i've been lurking around here for about a year now. of all the
alleged developers that i've heard ABOUT, the ONLY ones that i can
recall hearing any release notices from are those that don't center
their "cyber-lives" around Delphi. i don't remember if Sheppy was the
one that announced WolfieGS here or if somebody else did it for him...
i'll tell you something-- it doesn't surprise me that many developers
feel that there's no market for the Apple II systems. those that
think there's no market are the same ones that REFUSE to post on csa2.
WHY? because they want to carry their pathetic little grudges and
blame the whole for the (sometimes perceived) actions of a FEW.
i don't WANT to pay for Delphi, AOL, Compu$erve, GEnie, or anything
else like that. i pay for my ISP. that should be enough. if people
want to CALL themselves "developers" then bitch about not having a
market, simply because they limit the number of people that are AWARE
of their software (or even those that have ACCESS to it!!), so be it.
i don't need to hear their crying HERE if they don't ADVERTISE here.
that's basically what this whole rant could boil down to: you can't
sell if you don't ADVERTISE. you can't expect to get DROVES of people
if you only whisper to a couple people that the product is there.
that should be enough to burn the ears of a few people for a while....
