Re: Science Toolkit

Hi,

Thanks for the response. Science Toolkit Master Module is
the full name on both the disk and the box (by Scott Shumway and
Lauren Elliott). First I tried to use the Copy ][+ fast disk copy, but it
had trouble reading the tracks (copying real slow and errors on every
track). I tried to use a bit copy with one of the Copy ][+ programs
(don't know the version), and it choked on tracks 01, 21, and 22 (5 in
error field). The copied disk boots to a splash screen, then immediately
reboots in a continuous loop. The original doesn't do this.

A high-resolution disk scan indicates a solid line for tracks 21
and 22, and a partial track for 01, but a sector editor can't read any of
01, 21 or 22.

I was hoping this protection method might be a standard Broderbund
trick of the era. Any ideas?

: Neither Copy II+ 5.5, 8.4, or 9.1 or Locksmith 6.0 seem to have
