True, but you have to worry about dropping a lot of other things as
well.  I suppose if you read books on a unicycle, then dropping may be
an important issue.  :-)  As for battery life the iPad's 10 hours
should be more than adequate per day.

Personally I prefer paper.  Its more intimate and more enjoyable,
however it takes up a lot of space, weight, and is not searchable.
Since I travel a lot and like having books and magazines I opted for
the iPad.  It's great for mags, text/comp books, etc...  because of
size, weight, can search, etc...  However, I still prefer paperback
for fiction.  Reading a book on a subway with an iPad or iPhone is
just to awkward and you have *do* worry about dropping it (and other
things).  But, the subway is not the place I read about Apple ]
[ programming.
