Re: PICT format Converter for the IIgs
Charles Turley's attitude is "I'll put it up on my site, THEN I'll email
the author/publisher. Maybe." So those of us who care will have to track
what he's got up, send email to him with the information, get a response
of "Lump it" from Dr. Tom, track down the author/publisher ourselves, have
that unfortunate slap Dr. Tom's hands away, and then start the whole
process again with the next upload.
Example: I let Dr. Tom know that the Manager was still being sold and
supported by Seven Hills. He told me that he was going to leave it up
anyway. Seven Hills tells him otherwise. It comes down. Then GEOS and
Roger Wagner stuff goes up.
Roger Wagner always had the attitude that NO program they published would
be withdrawn from availability. If that's changed, it should be possible
to get an official statement to that effect. Surely it would have been a
sign of respect to Roger to get the statement *before* uploading his
stuff.
Check out the latest _Juiced GS_ issue. It discusses that schools can now
legally get HyperStudio GS from Roger Wagner for free, thanks to a new
licensing program. Does this sound like a company that has just forgotten
its Apple 2 products to anyone? Not me.
