LJ, just go fuck yourself. Your summary judgements about Nathan are even more
childish and self-centered than his ranting ever was. You are simply writing
your own version of history as the 'victor' because you are the only one left
speaking into the silence.

Nathan has finally taken the only option left to him before he goes nutso
and starts hunting you, Tom, and Ruby down in your sleep. He's got plenty
of programming to do on the game consoles (his job) and his linux machine at
home, and I have to admit I was wondering when he was going to use you guys
as an excuse to finally ditch his A2 stuff and spend more time playing on
modern hardware. Recently I've been tempted by the same thing myself.

Observing the last six months here, I've totally lost all hope that if I
dusted off my IIgs's and actually posted something here, it would get any
response other than "make it do this, make it do that" as if I have nothing
but spare time and generosity. I've looked into ethernet options but as long
as people only want something that costs $150 it just isn't going to happen.

And to top it all off, there is the sheer stubbornness of certain people here
who just won't go out and actually learn the true state of copyright law.
It convinces me utterly that after AWKS and Spectrum stop releasing new
versions, there will be NO NEW COMMERCIAL SOFTWARE EVER for the A2.

So rationalize things as much as you like, it may make you feel better about
yourself but it won't do much to improve the situation here on c.s.a2. Want
something genuinely fun, like real TCP/IP on your Apple? Go over to Delphi
and kiss the feet of Richard Bennett -- he actually poured a year's worth
of free time into it and went public at last year's KansasFest.
