As a longtime (almost 30 years) software professional in the area of web 
applications development (15 years) and as a Microsoft Gold Partner, my 
primary business application is targetted at Internet Explorer. It supplies 
a large portion (close to half) of the Canadian Arctic with food and 
supplies and is vital to the existence of many Northern Communities and has 
been up and running continuously since 2005.

In my experience only people like MacIntosh Users and Firefox Users who do 
not use IE say things like this and I have yet to see a grue in the real 
world. My many computers which include Macs are of course equipped with 
other web browsers which also include Firefox so fear not! Sadly I will 
likely outlast this dwindling "community" as I have many others... including 
Fidonet and Compuserve.
