I'm not at liberty to divulge specific amounts, but it was a straight
royalty arrangement (no large cash outlay), with extra royalty paid on a
number of units for which Geoworks supplied us with their existing stock of
printed manuals. Once we exhausted the manuals they had supplied and began
printing our own, the royalty amount was reduced. The amounts involved were
reasonable. Bear in mind that this came at a time when we were ordering
GEOS 64/128 products from Geoworks in fairly sizable quantities, and they
were looking to free themselves of the production responsibilities in order
to focus on their PDA versions of of the system.
