Interesting graphics hacks?

Hi!

Just in case people aren't tired yet of hearing me ask Apple hardware
questions...

Has anybody ever hacked around with the graphics ROM in their Apple II?
I'm sure there are people that have changed the text characters to
different fonts, but has anybody ever messed with the *graphics* half
(this applies to the //e and //c only I think)?

As usual, my curiousity is piqued because I'm working on an emulation
that uses the graphics ROM.  I'd like to make sure that changes made to
the graphics ROM are accurately reflected in the emulation.

On a side note, if I were to put "random" bytes into the graphics ROM
and put it inside a //c connected to a TV, is there any chance that it
could damage the TV, or is every possible signal coming out "safe"?  :)
