Nit pick alert! :)
You are correct the ROM 01 came with 256k on the motherboard (128k of
slow memory and 128k of fast memory). Adding a 1M (1024k) memory
expansion card gives you a total of 1280k (1024+256) of memory on a
ROM 01.
The ROM 3 came with 128k of slow memory and 1M of fast memory on the
motherboard. This gives a total of 1152k (1024+128) of memory on a
ROM 3.
These numbers are usually abreviated as 1.25M and 1.125M of memory
respectively.
This nit pick alert is now over and we return you to your regular news
messages. :)
