Back when I was growing up, the local library still had about 3 Apple II
books in their children's department. They are *long gone* by now, and have
been for nearly a decade, I'd imagine...
One was something like "Apple II for kids from 8 to 80"; the second, I don't
remember; and the third, I shall describe.
It was a book on how to program adventure games for the Apple II in
Applesoft BASIC. The example game was an undersea adventure on a sunken
pirate ship. I remember that it went through the process of adding rooms,
descriptions, items, and movement. I recall barnacles. At the end of the
book was the full source code listing for the game. The cover of the book
had some artwork of a sunken pirate ship, but I can't recall it so clearly.
It was hard cover.
Anyone familiar with this book? I'd love to get the title of it, so I can
look it up on Amazon or somewhere.
