Perfectly safe if the IBM power supply is connected to the IIgs power
connector correctly.
I'm currently using an IBM supply with my IIgs and it works like a
charm.
By the way, I believe Stephen Buggie posted a week or two ago that he
has shipped over 150 IBM type power supplies with connectors for use
with IIgs and/or //e machines in the past couple years. All those
people can't be wrong. :)
