Yes; it is possible to connect an 800k 3.5 inch drive to an Apple IIe.
You can exchange data in two ways.  You can get the Mac to read
Prodos disks (via PC Exchange) and you can get the IIe to read Mac
disks (via A2FX and HFS Link).

Old drives on comp.sys.apple2.marketplace.
Other vendors http://www.allelec.com/ Alltech Electronics.
SuperDrives can also be used on IIe...look at Shreeve Systems.
IBM PC type drives can be used on IIe with BlueDisk card.
If you have an SCSI card, you can use floptical disks.
Iomega Zip and Jazz drives can also be used with SCSI on IIe.
