The System Saver IIgs is a very nice GS accessory-- by far the best
way to get good GS cooling.

If you try to open your System Saver IIgs after removing just 4
screws you will very likely end up cracking the case. It has at least 6
screws hidden under the foam liner (3 on each side).

To remove the fan, you need to open the case.

This can be a problem with some SS's. If your GS has no accelerator
or other hot running card plugged in, there may be no need for SS
cooling and no great loss in removing the fan. Otherwise, consider
replacing the noisy fan with a same-size ball bearing unit. Picking one
with a relatively low cfm rating will help keep down noise from air
movement.

Me, too. The neat green-lighted power switches is a nice SS
feature.
