Your question is a little too vage. First off, what type of
graphics program are you asking about? There are paint and draw,
graphic layout applications, a 3-D model rendering package, CAD,
graphic image convertors, etc. Next, are you asking about Apple
IIGS applications or programs that run on 8-bit Apple II's?
If your asking about IIGS paint/draw programs, then the best
one out there is Platinum Paint (version 2.01 is the final). It
does have a 16 color limitation though, not too mention several
serious bugs, but still the nicest one available for drawing with.
DreamGrafix (version 1.06 is the final) is my next choice, yet a
must have if you want to use 256 colors. When I used my Apple IIgs
to do graphic art years ago, I would draw an outline image with
Platinum Paint and then import it into DreamGrafix to colorize.
Although it is not very powerful, PaintWorks Plus is a nice
option if you want a very simple paint program (basically it's
a color version of the original MacPaint) that runs in 512K.
Unfortunately, Scantron Quality Computers has abandoned all
support and selling of Platinum Paint, and DreamGrafix has not
been available since EGO Systems closed down. I'm beginning to
sound like a broken record, but I guess you'll have to search
for either used on comp.sys.apple2.marketplace or garage sales.
