you've said it all already. (so why am I still posting) I had an apple II when i
was a kid (around 8 years old) that was around 20 years ago (it wasnt even a II+)
but I was able to copy II+ roms on an eprom and "upgraded" my machine (shame,
shame, I didnt know that that was considered piracy then.. hell, I was 8!) I
continued to use the II+ till I was 18 (nope, my parents didnt want to get me a
//e ... no cash) after which some friend of mine borrowed it and I never saw it
again.  Now.. 7 years later, I saw a GS in a "garage sale" and I bought it (this
was something I always wanted when I was a kid, but never got)  so I called up my
"friend" and it turns out that he still had my II+.. I took everything that was
left of it back..   So why do I use an apple II?  I always wanted one, now I have
one!
