In order to avoid the wrath of your local network administrators, I
suggest that you talk to them...

The one thing you *must* do is to switch off AppleTalk zone seeding.

Somewhere on the network, there is a device that seeds the names of all of
the AppleTalk zones. If there is a power cut for example, the seed device
provides the information for the AppleTalk network to rebuild itself. If
your Fastpath provides the wrong seeding information after a power cut,
you might want to consider leaving the country before the network manager
finds you.
