Making a ProDOS startup disk yourself is very easy. Format a disk, put
PRODOS and BASIC.SYSTEM on it, plus (optionally) a BASIC program called
STARTUP, and you're done.
So what is it that you need?
- the ability to make 3.5" disk images
- info about how to format a disk
- the file PRODOS
- the file BASIC.SYSTEM
- info on how to write and save a BASIC program
So you should start by telling us what system and what software you
have, so we can help you on your way.
I can tell you that if you have GS/OS disks, you should be sure not to
use the file called ProDOS in the root. Use the file P8 in the System
directory and rename it to PRODOS.
