    Actually there were at least two GS-specific TV ads produced
and aired back in the 1980's. The first, "Right Brain/Left Brain",
shows a man drawing on a black board--with his right hand is he
writing a complex mathematical formula, while his left hand is
shown drawing Michealangelo's "God". The announcer talks about
the advanced capabilities of the Apple IIgs, and possibly about
its split personality (the Apple II side and IIGS side).

    The second commercial is rather bland in comparison. It just
shows scenes of children using GS's while the piano song "Heart
and Soul" is played in the background. The announcer talks about
how the GS can help your kids learn in school and at home (I can't
really remember the details, I saw this commercial when it aired
about a decade ago). There were also some mixed IIe/IIc/IIgs TV
ads I remember. In one, there is a young girl shown printing out
a full color graphic/report for school--from the ImageWriter II
using an Apple IIgs--and upon seeing it she exclaims, "They're
gonna freak when they see this!".

    That is about all there was in terms of television ads.
As for other promotional material, I have several booklets
and phamplets obtained from Apple dealers back in the 80's.
One day soon I'm planning to scan them and perhaps put them
up on a web-site (that is, assuming that doesn't infringe
on any copyright laws). I'm glad I held on to them all these
years... :)
