I'm not saying Apple is completely honest...any A2 user knows that
they've mislead us in the past...

All I am saying is that Sequential, Alltech, and the makers of OctoRAM
didn't just conspire to come up with the 8MB limit.  APPLE made it
clear that this was the specification of the computer.

I agree that they really screwed up in the design of the memory
expansion slot with respect to this, but that's APPLE's fault, not
the makers of these cards.

But I can see this is a matter of how you look at it, just like the
Wolf 3D problem.  Is it a "bug" of the programmer (card maker) or
Apple's System Software (hardware).  I vote Apple, but it is
plausible to support a case that the card maker has the problem.
