GBBS and it's derivations are arguably the *best* BBS software for the Apple II
line of computers. The source code is modifiable, and the language is very
simplistic (if you know basic, you can learn ACOS). It has alot of neat
functionality packed into some high level APIs for message/mail storage.
Basically, it is a pretty cool package.
If you want to purchase it, look for Steven Lichter on this newsgroup.
Remember, it is *commercially available*, so please don't ask for a pirated
copy. That would be wrong.
Supposedly, software called "Metal" exists. It is supposedly a "gbbs on
steroids" for the GS. I have never seen it, but I hear it is good. Don't know
where to get it though.
